newbie question - How do I collect flowers?

Hi, I am just beginning with ZenBound. I am stuck a bit.

How do I collect flowers? Your help is appreciated.

Heya,

Flowers bloom according to the amount of surface you have covered in each level. 75% coverage gives you one blossom, and completing the level at 99% or better makes all three bloom.

The lanterns which grant you access to new levels light up when the number of flowers written on the lantern has been reached.
